EU President's Message

Dear IAATI-EB Members, Sponsors, and Partners,Saint Martin

I am honoured to write to you as the newly elected President of IAATI-European Board following our recent seminar in Salzburg, Austria, held on 23-24 October 2024. This seminar was a resounding success, bringing together a community of dedicated professionals, outstanding speakers, and, importantly, the unwavering support of the Austrian police. I’d like to extend heartfelt thanks to Mr. Andreas Kock, our former President, whose vision and hard work made this event possible.

As we step forward with a renewed purpose, the newly appointed IAATI European Board and I are dedicated to advancing our association’s goals with a fresh, positive dynamic. In the coming days, we will meet to lay out a comprehensive roadmap to position IAATI EB at the forefront of the fight against vehicle crime across Europe and beyond. Clear and open communication with our members will be a priority, ensuring extended networks to all. To support this, we will be hosting a webinar to guide members in making the most of the IAATI website—a vital resource for our network community.

One of our key objectives is to add/entice more law enforcement officers into the IAATI fold. At the same time, we call on insurance investigators, automotive manufacturers, fleet representatives, rental and leasing companies, and customs/border control professionals to join our vision. We believe that by uniting a broader coalition of experts, we can bring greater expertise and momentum to our global fight against organised vehicle crime and fraud.

With our recent partnership with INTERPOL, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for training, collaboration, and on-the-ground action. This will allow our professional network—both old and new—to take an active role in shaping our mission and strategy.

Together with the Board, my vision is to instil a renewed enthusiasm for our shared work, setting realistic, achievable objectives to inspire every member in our collective fight tackling ‘Vehicle/Auto-crime’. I look forward to the journey ahead and to making meaningful strides as a united family team.
