This award recognises an outstanding contribution by an individual or team in reducing and deterring motor vehicle theft, achieving a significant result in auto crime investigation, or demonstrating excellence in the detection of vehicle theft and fraud.

This year’s recipient represents the power of collaboration and proactive prevention. In response to a rise in vehicle thefts across Victoria, two organisations joined forces to deliver an innovative public education campaign — one designed to empower communities and encourage simple yet effective actions to help reduce vehicle-related crime.

Their “Level Up Against Car Theft” campaign is a vital step in a broader, multi-faceted strategy to disrupt opportunistic offending and promote shared responsibility in keeping our vehicles safe.

It gives me great pleasure to present the 2025 President’s Award to Crime Stoppers Victoria and Victoria Police for their outstanding partnership on the “Level Up Against Car Theft” campaign.
