This committee receives and reviews all IAATI Awards except the Dreher Award.
Component Parts Markings Award
The IAATI Component Parts Markings Award is intended to honor any person or unit possessing the qualifications of an active member of IAATI, although membership is not a prerequisite, who has in some way distinguished themselves in vehicle theft investigations where OEM or aftermarket identification technology/solutions have played a significant part in the success of the investigation.
Director's Award
The IAATI Director’s Award was created in 1985. It is intended to honor any members who have distinguished themselves by giving extraordinary service to IAATI. The award committee shall give consideration to individuals who have distinguished themselves by giving extraordinary service to IAATI and by promoting the objectives in Section 3, Article 1 of the Constitution.
Heavy Equipment Award
This award was created in 2009 and is intended to honor any person possessing the qualifications of an active member of (IAATI), although membership is not a prerequisite, who has in some way distinguished themselves in the field of off-road (farm and construction) equipment investigation / recovery. It is not intended that it be awarded to anyone other than actual field investigators or first-line supervisors of field investigators.
President's Award
This award was created in 1985. It is intended for the President of IAATI to honor any members who have distinguished themselves by giving extraordinary service to IAATI.
Vehicle Identification Award
This award is designed to recognize excellence in the field of Vehicle Identification.
Award of Merit
The IAATI Award of Merit was created in 1992 in order to honor a person, group, department, or company in recognition of outstanding contributions in the area of vehicle theft investigation or prevention. Nominations for this award may come from any source but must be directed to the chair of the award committee.
NICB Award of Excellence
This award is intended to recognize any law enforcement person(s), unit, or department who has distinguished themselves in the area of vehicle theft investigations, making a significant impact involving the dismantlement and prosecution of a vehicle theft ring or chop shop.
Insurance Investigator of the Year
This committee manages the administration of the annual Insurance Investigator of the Year award. The award was created in 2014 in order to recognize and honor an insurance professional (individual or group) for his or her outstanding contribution in the area of vehicle theft investigation or insurance fraud investigation. The committee coordinates the soliciting of nominations as well as the judging of all received nominations.
