Director – Washington Auto Theft Prevention Authority

Bryan Jeter was appointed as the executive director for the Washington Auto Theft
Prevention Authority (WATPA) in April 2024. Prior to that, he was in law enforcement for
35 years in the state of Washington serving as the chief of police for two agencies for a
total of 15 of the 35 years. He retired in August of 2023 joining the private sector as the
regional coordinator of the western United States for Security Industry Specialists, Inc.
until his appointment to WATPA.
Bryan holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, is a graduate of the
211 th session of the FBI National Academy and the 63 rd session of the FBI Law
Enforcement Executive Development Seminar.
