The IAATI Insurance Award, which recognises individuals or teams within the insurance industry who have made a significant contribution to the investigation of motor vehicle-related crime.

Paul Collins has been a catalyst of how not only an insurance company (Toyota Insurance Services) responds to vehicle crime and how to mitigate against it but also how to tie in a vehicle manufacturer (Toyota/Lexus) to make changes within production and engineering to design out crime.

Over the past year he has actively supported IAATI through hosting the IAATI UK conference in 2024 and pulled partner organisations together by serving as a key bridge between the association and the wider insurance sector drawing engineering teams with the world of insurance.

In doing so, Paul has helped raise awareness of IAATI’s critical work, opened up valuable forums and collaborative opportunities, and ensured that IAATI’s wealth of knowledge is more widely accessed and utilised within our industry.

Paul's contribution has helped to align our sector more closely with vehicle crime investigation efforts, created stronger cross-industry relationships, and encouraged greater engagement with IAATI’s mission.

Additionally, I also believe these outcomes represent the spirit of what this award seeks to recognise — not only through investigative outcomes, but also through strategic engagement and long-term impact.
