This committee serves as a liaison between IAATI and the International Association of Chiefs of Police Chiefs (IACP). In particular it liaises with IACP’s Vehicle Crime Committee which studies, considers, and determines the various methods and means by which vehicle crimes are committed, including the make and type of vehicles most commonly stolen; surveys, investigates, and evaluates the techniques and methods employed by the police and other agencies in solving and reducing the incidence of vehicle crimes cases; and reports to this Association for the dissemination to all interested agencies all pertinent information and recommendations that will reduce the incidence of this major crime.
