IAATI actively works to build strategic interactions and partnerships with a range of other organizations to achieve continuous improvements to the prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution of vehicle-related crime. IAATI strives to create cooperative relationships with government agencies, industry partners, law enforcement, educational organizations, and related associations at a local, national, and international level.
In addition, IAATI members serve on a number of boards and committees and act as liaisons between IAATI and its members and those boards and committees.

International Association of Financial Crime Investigators (IAFCI)
The IAFCI, a non-profit international organization, provides services and an environment within which information about financial fraud, fraud investigation, and fraud prevention methods can be collected, exchanged, and taught for the common good of the financial payment industry and our global society.
They have individual members across the world in every major continent. Their membership is about one-third law enforcement, one-third banking, and one-third retail and service members to the industry. Their members come from all levels of law enforcement, credit card associations, banks and non-banks, private label issuers, mail order houses, airlines, telecommunications, petroleum industry, processors, and transporters, to name a few. Everyone who is involved in the security of financial transactions where a device is used to access money - a card, check, account number, or some other access device - is involved in IAFCI's effort to safeguard the world's economy through teamwork.

International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI)
The International Association of Marine Investigators mission is "to develop and provide high levels of training to law enforcement, insurance investigators, and other marine professionals. Working and training together with both public and private sectors, to combat marine theft, arson, fraud, and other criminal activity in the marine environment."

The IACP's Vehicle Crime Committee studies, considers, and determines the various methods and means by which vehicle crimes are committed, including the make and type of vehicles most commonly stolen; surveys, investigates, and evaluates the techniques and methods employed by the police and other agencies in solving and reducing the incidence of vehicle crimes cases; and reports to this Association for the dissemination to all interested agencies all pertinent information and recommendations that will reduce the incidence of this major crime. For the purpose of these objectives, the term “vehicle” shall include highway transport vehicles, off-highway recreational vehicles, boats, industrial and farm equipment, aircraft, and all other forms of transportation not included herein.

National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS)
The National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), a United States Department of Justice program, is designed to protect consumers from fraud and unsafe vehicles and to keep stolen vehicles from being resold. NMVTIS is a tool that assists states and law enforcement in deterring and preventing title fraud and other crimes.
